Did you know every great drink comes from a plant?
Phyllis Jaworski from Sacred Ibis Botanicals and Christine Melby from Two Bees & A Bud will inspire you in this intriguing class as they deconstruct the old fashioned, vodka gimlet and gin martini down to the roots of each ingredient and plants associated with it.
You will learn how to make simple syrups and bitters and learn about plants you can grow to create delicious craft cocktails at home.
We will provide you with recipe cards and taste samples of the infused simple syrups and bitters demonstrated in class along with information about growing your own "cocktail garden."
Samples will then be used to create three crafted cocktails we make using 45th Parallel’s Whisky, Vodka and Gin which each person will get to try and order one of their preference.
Phyllis Jaworski has been studying and working with plants for over 10 years. Her work as a master herbalist has guided her journey in making herbal creations from personal care products, medicinal products to cocktail ingredients. When not in her office with clients or teaching classes, Phyllis likes to hike and spend time with her family and friends. You can reach her on her website at www.sacredibisbotanicals.com.
